Unfortunately S has come round a week too early as the Suffolk Show takes place next Wednesday and Thursday . I went for the first time last year but can't find the photos I took then so maybe I will put some up next week and direct you to them.
The Suffolk Show was, I guess, originally just an agricultural show. Most Counties in England seem to have them. There are lots of animals to see, rare breeds etc, plus cart racing and show jumping, bands, displays and you can see what I call huge tractors and what my Canadians laughingly call toy tractors. Well, our country is a lot smaller so, so are our fields.
But there is also a flower show and lots and lots of shopping and eating to be done. It's a whole day out. I am going with a friend this year so I expect to be tired but happy, well fed and a little light in the purse by the end of it.. The website is HERE if you would like to know more and you can see what other people thought of for the letter S HERE

Unfortunately, Suffolk is a little far away, but I do love agricultural shows; especially if they also have sheep dog trails or dry stone walling or even a hill race!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day at yours!!
Can't wait to see the pics of your fair. It must be very similar to our county fairs, or a small version of our state fairs.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like our county agriculture fairs that run for a week and are held in all of our counties. Since our state is much smaller than your country, if I want, I can reach each one in a day.
ReplyDeleteNice S post. So sorry the letter came too early for photos.
Look forward to seeing the pictures after next week. Have a lot of fun and I know there will probably be all kinds of fair food (that's if they have fair food where you live LOL).
ReplyDeleteJust my sort of afternoon - have a great time!
ReplyDeleteGot any Suffolk for yourself? There's actually lots of Suffolk sheep in our Montana parts.
ReplyDeleteYour Suffolk party sounds fun!
I'm envious! I love the Suffolk Show - not for the agriculture and stuff but all the other bits and pieces, haven't been for a few years, must try to get time off mext year!
ReplyDeleteoh it does look like a fun day out! I hope you have a great time!
ReplyDeleteI love events like these, so fun! And usually such great eats. I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like such a great event. You'll have to share your photos next week anyway and call it The Suffolk Show!
ReplyDeleteIt seems like a really fun and interesting event!
Thanks for linking up this week! It is always fun stopping here on our little journey through Alphabe-Thursday to see what you are up to!
A+
Sounds like a lot of fun. I love being outdoors and I hope the weather cooperates. Thanks for sharing.

It sounds a lot like our county fairs. Ours have animals and competitions (everything from baking to sewing to canning to livestock) and rodeos and rides and games.
